An Unforgettable Adventure at the Society of Illustrators!
Today, our Maryel students had the opportunity to explore the inspiring world of art at the Society of Illustrators, located in Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Surrounded by incredible artwork, they discovered the beauty of creativity, color, and storytelling through visual art. It was a day filled with wonder and inspiration, and we are so proud of our students for engaging so enthusiastically with this unique experience.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the chaperones who accompanied us on this adventure. Your support made this visit even more special and meaningful for our students.
But the excitement doesn’t stop here! Inspired by the artwork they saw, our students will soon embark on a special art project. Each child will recreate one of the paintings that captured their imagination during the visit. These masterpieces will be displayed at our school during our Annual Book Fair on April 23rd.
Here’s the best part: the students’ artwork will be available for purchase during the event, and all proceeds will go toward buying books for our school. This initiative not only celebrates the creative talents of our students but also fosters a love for reading and learning in our Maryel community.
Stay tuned for updates on this exciting project, and we can’t wait to see you all at the Book Fair to celebrate art, books, and the wonderful creativity of our students!
